- Before water will flow at all, take off the plastic wrap tucked inside the filter — skip this and nothing gets through.
- Pick the correct adapter for your faucet — the diameter needs to land in the 0.8-0.9 in (19.5mm-23.5mm) range — then attach it to match up and seal in place.
- Flip it to filtered mode whenever you want the digital display active and the filter doing its job; flip back anytime for plain, unfiltered flow instead.
- Let the water run for a full 60 seconds before you drink it — do this the very first time, and again anytime it has been sitting unused for 2 or more days.

Notes
Before first use, open the filter fully and remove the plastic wrapping, or no water will pass through it at all, and remember that the display only lights up once you switch to the filtered water mode. Match the faucet diameter, which must fall between 0.8 in (19.5mm) and 0.9 in (23.5mm), to the correct included adapter for your setup, and keep the water pressure between 1.0kgf/cm² and 4.0kgf/cm² — outside that range, flow runs very low or the unit itself can be damaged. A small amount of black powder from the activated carbon may appear the first time you use a new filter element, which is normal, and on first use, or after two or more days of sitting unused, let the water run for 60 seconds before drinking it. Never let the unit freeze; it is not built to handle water below 41°F (5°C).
