Clean the dust off the eaves with a cloth before you start, then peel and stick the light strip onto the provided adhesive backing, pressing each light firmly for about 8 seconds before locking it down with the included screw clips for a long-term, secure fit without falling.
The length of the lights can be cut freely, though a professional electrician is the safer choice for the job: the 100ft (30.5 m) set is built from 6 sections and the 200ft (61 m) set from 4, and each section can be loosened to adjust the length. Any cut end should be wrapped in waterproof glue and fully sealed, with no bare wire left exposed, to avoid an electrical leakage risk.
